About

Travis Echols
I trusted in Jesus at age eleven. However, in my teenage years I drifted away from God and for four years I did not live a commendable life.
At age 21, God got my attention. At that time, God placed in my heart an insatiable desire to learn Bible doctrine. Since then, I have taught in several churches in Forsyth County, GA over the last 36 years.
In 2012, two important things converged in my life: 1) I was engaging more with non-Christians and 2) I was becoming aware of the work of Christian apologists.
As I listened to the apologists, and heard their debates with (in)famous skeptics, I found I had much better answers for my unbelieving friends. It was obvious that the Christian apologists were not choosing their topics for fun or mere curiosity. The fruit of their studies was an intellectually robust body of evidence and sound reasoning. They were effectively answering the critics' objections, while demolishing the critics' fallacious arguments against Christianity.
Some of my studies are on this website along with some recommended resources.
On a personal note, I have lived in Forsyth County, GA all my life, my family going back eight generations here.
I enjoy spending time with my wife, Lisa, and texting with my daughter, Ashlynn. I enjoy working out at the gym and playing table tennis with my Dad. Although not as active and no longer teaching classes, I have enjoyed Martial Arts since I was 17 years old, holding three black belts and a fourth degree in one style.
As for education, I have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and was an engineer for 19 years. In 2004 I started a financially advisory business. I hold the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) designation from Denver College of Financial Planning. I continue to run my investment firm for retirees in Cumming.
